Founded in 1991 and for more than thirty years Italy’s leading company in the production of culture
and museum management, Opera Laboratori is present in more than sixty Italian cultural institutions, including the Uffizi Galleries and the Accademia in Florence, the Archaeological Park of Pompei, the Reggia di Caserta, the Siena Cathedral complex, Villa Giulia in Rome, the Brera Picture Gallery in Milan, the civic museums of Assisi, the Gallerie dell’Accademia in Venice, the Synagogues and Jewish Museums of Florence and Siena, and the Jewish Museum and five synagogues of Venice. Among its services, Opera Laboratori manages the bookshops,reservations, ticketing, visitor reception, planning and organisation of exhibitions for the major museums of Italy, including MAXXI, the Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI Secolo in Rome and MAMBO in Bologna (Museo d’Arte Moderna di Bologna), where it is responsible for the bookshop since last October. Today Opera has more than a thousand employees and boasts years of experience in the cultural sector, which has enabled it to implement over the years thousands of installations in the most important museums and cultural sites in Italy and abroad.

An integral part of Opera Laboratori is the publishing house Sillabe, specialising in the concept, design, and production of art books and merchandise for Italy’s most important museums. Opera manages eight concept points called “Dear Guests visitors centre” all over Italy. These are innovative multimedia welcome centres and points of reference for sales and reservations for museum sites, and more, present all over Italy with its online portal dearguests.com, and two physical premises, just a few steps from the Campo in Siena and from the Ponte Vecchio in the centre of Florence.
