Archivio Ugo Ferranti. Roma 1974-1985

This book, the ninth in the series MAXXI Arte Collection Focus Series, goes more deeply into the historical development of the Ugo Ferranti art gallery explored in the exhibition mounted at MAXXI Archivio Ugo Ferranti. Roma 1974-1985. Besides essays recounting diachronically the activity of this gallery, which over the years, thanks also to contribution by Germano Celant, has become the hub of arrival and circulation for Conceptual, Minimalist, and Environmental Art, the volume offers lengthy interviews with Yvon Lambert and Massimo D’Alessandro, this latter a founder of the gallery together with Ferranti. A repertory of the shows held up to 1985 and a description of the rich archives placed on deposit in the museum complete the work.
