Close your eyes, pay attention, can you hear? It runs, spurts, flows, gushes and gurgles: water is used by Bill Fontana as a real tool capable of creating sculpture of sound, from “Sound Island” (1994), an installation devoted to the sound of the sea of Normandy, to “Sonic Mappings” (2014), the work in the MAXXI collection, made in Rome.
