Edited by MAXXI, the Gulbenkian in Lisbon and proyectoamil in Lima, the volume is a tool for further study of Barba's work and a stand-alone artist's book. Bringing together diverse voices from writers, curators, sociologists and researchers, it reflects on the central themes of her production: time, memory, language, cinema and the materiality of film. Through a variety of formats, the volume maps Barba's work, revealing the multiple narratives and speculative visions that guide it. Rosa Barba. Impermanence in Fields represents an essential critical tool for scholars, artists and readers interested in contemporary art, cinema, ecological transformation and storytelling.
